Discover the Enchanting World of the Cotswolds

Feature Writer: A Journey Through Words

Enjoy Mark’s wry and unique perspective on what it takes to live life to the full in the Cotswolds.

Mark Cummings

Mark has been broadcasting in Gloucestershire for 30 years. This has afforded him a special insight into the underbelly of what really goes on in the Cotswolds. From wild nights with the Women’s Institute and the Cotswold Male Voice Choir, appearing at the Cheltenham Literature Festival with his good friend Pam Ayres, hobnobbing with the late Dame Jilly Cooper, Katie Fforde, Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards and Adam Henson, or joy and despair on the terraces at Gloucester Rugby he’s experienced the many elements that make up the true Cotswolds. Every month, in Cotswold Life, he shares amusing observations of his colourful escapades around this very special part of the world.

His adventures further afield have also been published sharing the thrill of worldwide travel and tips on finding gems off the beaten track. If you’ve loved Race Across the World, Mark shows how you can have similar experiences such as pilgrimage walks in Japan, slow and sustainable travel in Europe, making the most of a stopover in Singapore and highlights of both East and West coast Australia.
